Our History

HacknessHackness Road Surgery serves the whole of Scarborough as well as its surrounding villages, and has a branch surgery in Cloughton. Our team includes three GP's, two senior nurses, an ex nurse working as a Healthcare assistant, dispensary and reception staff.

We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for children, pregnant women, diabetes and asthma sufferers as well as providing joint injection and minor surgery services. We also offer an on-site dispensing service at both our main surgery and our branch surgery. At the he doctors surgeries in Scarborough and Cloughton run by Hackness Road Surgery, we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence. We feel it is important you know to whom you are speaking to so our practice staff wear a name badges.

The purpose of Hackness Road Surgery is to provide a family doctor offering a full range of high quality NHS GP surgery services to patients in Scarborough, Cloughton, Burniston and Ravenscar through the GPs and nursing staff, and to facilitate access to appropriate secondary care services, whenever this may be required. The practice works in partnership with other healthcare providers, such as community nurses, Macmillan nurses, social services, pharmacies, mental health, primary care mental health teams and various local hospitals, such as, Scarborough, Bridlington, Malton and Whitby.
