Repeat Prescriptions

multicolour_pillsRepeat prescriptions are usually available for those patients who have a long term illness and who require regular treatment. The doctor will decide when it is appropriate for you to have a repeat prescription and will occasionally ask to see you for a review. This ensures you are taking the correct dosage and allows the doctor to monitor your illness.

Appointments can be made at both Hackness Road and Cloughton surgeries. 

How to Order

Each time you collect your medication you will receive a computer generated slip detailing your medication keep this in a safe place. When you require further medication tick the relevant boxes and re-order using one of the following options:

  • Post your prescription through the letterbox at Hackness Road Surgery.  
  • Hand your prescription into reception during opening times at either surgery.  
  • Telephone dispensary(between 11:00am and 3pm Monday to Friday) on 01723 380922 giving your name,address and details of the medication required.
  • Order online via the link at the top of this page. (New users are required to complete a simple registration process - CLICK HERE to access the forms and information). 

Please note - orders received after 3pm will be processed the next working day. 

Please allow 2 working days for your prescription to be processed, however please note that prescriptions left at the Cloughton Surgery may take a little longer to process due to the opening times; please contact the dispensary team to discuss the options. 

We kindly request that you monitor your medication carefully and re-order in a timely manner avoiding running low over weekends or during national holidays. If the date at the bottom of your re-order slip has expired you should contact the surgery to make an appointment to see the doctor. 

Dispensing

We are able to dispense medicines at both doctors surgeries in Scarborough or Cloughton for patients who live in rural areas more than one mile from a chemist. We are also happy to dispense medication for temporary residents. Please only collect prescriptions from Cloughton during our surgery opening hours.
